If your organization or group is looking for a community service project we can always use your help. The gift of your time and talent could be used in the following areas: gardening and beautification of the grounds, painting, and reading to children in the daycare.
If you are looking for a holiday community service project the women and children at the Friendship House and Catherine's Place Women and Children's Campus could use gifts of new toys, clothing, etc. Please call to find out the ages of the children currently in residence.
VML Volunteer Day at Catherine's Place - In what can only be described as an "extreme home makeover", over 75 volunteers from local company VML descended upon Catherine's Place, ReDiscover's women's recovery residence, to refurbish, plant and paint. VML employees landscaped the outside and built a beautiful patio for residents. They painted the bedrooms and created whimsical murals on the walls. The daycare center received a "Seussical" makeover with murals from the Dr. Seuss book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" painted on it's walls. ReDiscover is grateful for the generosity of this very special organization. See more photos.
Pay It Forward with Teva Neurosciences. Teva Neurosciences once again so generously chose Catherine’s Place as the recipient of their Pay It Forward project. The employees of Teva visited Catherine’s Place to determine the needs of the women and children. They purchased blankets, sheet sets, detergent, shampoo and many more personal care items. A big thank you to Teva Neurosciences for taking time to Pay It Forward and fill the basic needs of the women and children at Catherine’s Place.
