Women with Children's program clients average 30 days of residential treatment at Catherine’s Place, transferring to
outpatient treatment thereafter. The average length of stay is 6 to 12 months in
the outpatient program.
The following results are a compilation of reports received from the division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ADA) of the Department of Mental Health (DMH). The data contained in the reports are retrieved from the newly implemented screens used to capture data required by the federal Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS).
- During the 1st quarter of 2011, the program experienced its greatest increase in the percentage of clients who were housed
stably at discharge in comparison to admission when there was a 4% increase from admission to discharge.
- A 32% increase from admission to discharge in the number of clients who abstained from drugs in the 30 days prior to the assessments
- Approximately 1 out of 7 children (14%) removed from custody were returned to their parent(s).
- The program experienced the largest increase 11.5%, from admission to discharge, in the percentage of clients who were not arrested
in the previous 30 days.
